Materials for barometer:

1. fine glass tube or pparent plastic tube, a length of about 20 cm;

2. small bottle one, cork one (diameter depends on the bottle mouth).

3. students use a ruler, a little rubber band, a little oil or oil, a bottle of glue.

Tools:

Cone and sandpaper 0.

Method:

1. use a cone to make a small hole on the cork. The aperture is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the glass tube, and the sand paper is rolled into a small stick to grind the inner wall of the hole.

2. as shown, insert glass tube into cork and seal with glue.

Press cork tightly into the mouth of the bottle.

Elastic

Fix the student's ruler on the glass tube, then add a drop of oil to the open end of the glass tube, and record the oil level on the ruler when the oil drops are still.

In this way, the toy barometer is made.

Usage:

Oil droplet

Rise and fall;

Measure the magnitude of atmospheric pressure (at the same time predict the weather).

Principle:

When installed, the pressure inside the bottle is equal to the external pressure (the mass of the oil drops), and the oil droplets are stationary at a certain point.

When the external pressure increases, the drop of oil drops, which indicates that the air pressure increases (indicating a clear day). Conversely, when the external pressure changes, the oil droplets rise, indicating that the pressure is decreasing (it may be rainy).
