China Cotton Association: Up To The End Of March, China'S Textile Products Inventory Is Rising.
According to the China Cotton Association, the domestic epidemic situation improved significantly in March, and textile enterprises started to resume production. However, due to the rapid spread of foreign epidemic situation, foreign trade orders were abolished, and domestic demand orders had not yet fully recovered, and finished product sales were slow. China's cotton warning system has surveyed over 90 fixed-point textile enterprises throughout the country, indicating that raw material inventory of textile enterprises has declined, textile production has increased, yarn inventory and cloth inventory have increased slightly.
As of the end of March 2020, the finished product inventory of spinning enterprises was 24.77 days, an increase of 0.62 days from last month. Finished product inventory for grey goods finished for 30.75 days, an increase of 1.54 days from last month. The stock of cotton in textile enterprises was 714 thousand and 200 tons, a decrease of 7 thousand and 600 tons from the end of last month, a decrease of 89 thousand and 500 tons compared with the same period last year. Among them: 42% of enterprises reduce cotton inventories, 12% increase inventories, and 46% remain basically unchanged.
In March, Xinjiang cotton accounted for 91.96% of the total cotton used in textile enterprises, an increase of 2.42 percentage points from the previous month, an increase of 17.10 percentage points from the same period last year. Among them, the proportion of Xinjiang cotton in reserve was 5.23%, and the proportion of Xinjiang cotton in this year was 94.77%. The proportion of real estate cotton used by textile enterprises was 1.19%, which was 1.83 percentage points lower than that of last month. Among them: the proportion of reserve real estate cotton is 8.15%, and the proportion of real estate cotton is 91.85% this year. The proportion of imported cotton used by textile enterprises was 6.85%, a decrease of 0.59 percentage points from last month, a decrease of 5.35 percentage points compared with the same period last year.
