In the emergency room receiving instructions from patients, the audience seems to be back to the tense moment at the beginning of the outbreak of the new crown epidemic.

The streets were empty, only buses for medical staff shuttled between the hospital and the isolated hotel; The pressure of hospital treatment for patients with new crown pneumonia increased sharply, but the supply of medical supplies could not keep up in a short period of time; Doctors and nurses from medical teams in Hubei Province from all over the country bid farewell to their families on New Year's Eve, and "retrograde" set foot on the battlefield to fight for life with the virus.

The prototype of the hospital president in the movie is Zhang Dingyu, the president of Jinyintan hospital. As an asymptomatic patient, he urgently hopes that he can do more things and protect some lives. Therefore, even though walking is difficult, he still stands at the forefront of the fight against the epidemic, whether it is maintaining order in the emergency hall, collecting materials from various parties to ensure the anti epidemic equipment of medical staff, or making round the clock inspection and follow-up of each case, he has always fulfilled his responsibility as the president of the hospital.

Wen Ting, director of the Department of critical care medicine, is the epitome of many medical staff: misunderstood by patients, tit for tat with colleagues on professional issues, and she was once exhausted under pressure. Many times, the doctors who fight in the storm are the same as the ordinary people around us. They are infectious disease experts with a hot temper and a tender heart, interns who have to face the big test of epidemic situation just after graduation, and also little girls who are depressed because their faces are full of marks on their masks; They come from all over the world. In order to give consideration to the artistry and authenticity of the work as much as possible, director Liu Weiqiang and his production team conducted months long investigation on hospitals in Guangzhou, and made in-depth and detailed observation on the doctors who had participated in aiding Hubei Province and in the front line of anti epidemic in Guangzhou. Therefore, the film not only fits the real story in the characterization and event process, but also restores the real scene as much as possible for the details such as the standard use of medical devices, the operation specifications of medical staff, and the interaction between doctors and patients in the treatment process. For example, the allergic cheek was pulled by the mask and goggles, the rough hands were soaked in sweat for a long time, the standard small action of removing the mask from left to right, and the nurse changed the wet mask consciously after crying. The true restoration of these film details highlights the Chinese doctors' adherence to the professionalism of treatment and the scientificity of epidemic prevention in the face of major epidemic challenges.

Although the film is named "Chinese doctor", it is not only a story about doctors, but also a picture of the whole nation's fight against the epidemic: the family members of the deceased who still agreed to donate their bodies for medical anatomy in grief, the cleaning aunts who voluntarily returned to the hospital to do logistic support, and the young couples who consciously isolated themselves at home after infection, They are the takeout workers who insist on running errands to help isolate the residents, the medical and nursing families who give the greatest support and understanding to the work of their families, and the patients who dance the square dance with the medical staff in the shelter hospital. Many times, the film shot through the silent streets and empty traffic hubs from the perspective of aerial photography. These pictures seem to present the city features, but in fact, they tell the epidemic prevention story of every Wuhan resident silently. Behind the tall buildings and windows are 15 million people in Wuhan. In order to prevent the spread of the virus as much as possible, the vast majority of them have been sticking to the isolation policy and suspending production activities for more than two months, making great sacrifice and contribution to the phased victory of the national anti epidemic. On April 8, 2020, Wuhan announced the lifting of the control measures for the passage from Han to Hubei, and the city, which had experienced severe damage from the epidemic situation, began to recover its vitality.

Nurses, doctors and deans who love beauty are always guarding the people's health in their respective posts. Some people stay in that winter forever and never see the cherry blossoms in Wuhan next spring.
