The proposal for the identification of origin will be submitted to the Council of the European Union for legislative approval, so that manufacturers who regulate the exporting to Europe must clearly identify the place of origin so that European citizens have the right to know the source of their products.
The report points out that the products covered by the proposal are mainly about textiles, shoes, furniture, medicine, tools and parts, such as screws and valves.
The products exported to Europe mainly refer to the final products used by consumers, excluding semi-finished products and intermediate products, such as yarn and shuttle weaving in textile industry.
Countries that import products do not include Turkey, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
The report said that if the above proposals were passed by the Council and the Council of the European Union, it should be implemented one year after the European Union formally promulgated the new regulation. In addition, the members added the penalty clause to the importer in violation of the above proposal, which is valid for five years from the date of its entry into force. The Council and the Council of the European Union will make a decision one year ahead of time whether the law is renewed or modified.
