8 Workplace Mistakes That Can Not Be Committed

You can accept your mistakes, learn from them, and move on, but you must never let them go wrong.

Once you make a mistake, learn from it.

The better thing is not to make such mistakes at all!

Your situation is not special.

Although no two companies are the same, no two employees are the same, but most companies and cultures are strikingly similar.

So I dare say that the truth of these 8 workplace is universal.

Even if you think your situation is very special, you may find similarities between them.

Reminder: you may think I am harsh and negative, I just want to express myself clearly.

The reality is cruel. One hand experience is the best way to explain problems. The following experience is by no means a case. I have seen many colleagues and clients have similar mistakes in their career.

Be careful not to repeat the same mistakes.

Workplace truth: a super cow's industry certificate will not necessarily help you get promoted, raise your salary, and enhance your reputation.

There is a workplace Myth: as long as you get certification in this industry or in small areas, the company will immediately reward you.

But in fact, it depends on "company policy", even if policy is not enforced, but it can be negotiated.

After obtaining two degrees in electrical engineering, I went to a hard core certification called CCIE. At that time, only 7000 people in the world had this certificate - yes, I think it was very good.

By reason, it should prove my ability to help me raise the original super low wage.

After I took the certificate, the rules of the game changed. In two years, I had to shin my face and beg for promotion and salary increase.

After a few years, with the conviction of the certificate myth, I went to another certificate called PMP, but this certificate did not bring me more benefits.

The key question is: ask yourself why you need to test this certificate. Do you need this certificate urgently for your current job or make greater progress? What are the implications of those abbreviations for you? Who do you want to prove to them? Do you take the time to do these eye-catching rather than really necessary things?

Don't go to this fashion and focus on what is really important.

Job truth two: you have to ask for a raise and promotion, loud and clear, more than once.

When I didn't know how to use the workplace code correctly, I was afraid to ask for a raise and promotion.

When I use the right method, these requirements are realized.

I have always practiced the theory of "as long as hard work pays off."

Dear readers, it is naive to believe this sentence. It is not realistic at all.

How hard you work, how many nights and weekends you spend, and how much time you spend on a project is much more than that of others. These are not important. They do not necessarily give you a raise, a promotion or get more dividends.

You need to figure out what are important tasks for management and leadership, and focus on understanding the impact and visibility of these tasks, not on everything.

You must take the initiative to ask for it. Don't expect others to be kind.

Workplace truth three: leadership decisions are made to meet shareholders' interests, not to satisfy you.

People often forget that companies are not responsible for them, but for shareholders.

Take a good taste of this sentence, though cruel, but true.

True leadership should be like a magnet to combine mission and vision. Without it, everything will collapse.

The enterprise learned this lesson after hard trial, but you don't need it.

Don't expect the decision makers to listen to what you say and do.

They may consider the interests of their employees, but they must obey their shareholders first.

However, if their decisions are not in your fundamental interest, you should think twice before entering the company.

At least, next time you hear what bad decisions you made at the top, you will see why.

Workplace truth four: pro, human resources department is not used to protect you, their only task is to protect the company.

First of all, if you can, don't touch the human resources department. It's not because you are willing to do something bad, but because they are basically not helpful to you.

They will not defend you.

interest

Or solve your problems, because they do not care about you.

The Ministry of human resources must protect the company.

You don't agree with me at all. I didn't agree with you at first.

Ask a mentor or a trusted leader to ask for their advice, but not in your direct leadership.

Alas, do not deceive you: the human resources department will only safeguard the interests of the company, not yours.

No matter what happens to you, the decision of the human resources department may not be based on your interests. In the end, you may have more difficult problems to deal with.

The questions you want to reflect may be very legitimate, but please think twice before going to the human resources department. I emphasize again that they are the first and foremost protection companies.

Workplace truth five: you don't have to listen to your superiors in order to get the company's rewards, recognition and promotion.

I used to do that.

They make me do what I do, diligent and full of pride.

Then I realized that I was stupid again and I didn't know the rules of the game.

First of all, most of my work is busy but useless. Second, these jobs are seldom related to performance.

Guess when I got the best and brightest performance appraisal? That's when I only focused on the most important projects and activities, and the total working hours were the least.

(yes, I'm shocked, too!)

So, no matter how soft you are, you have to do all the work they give you, not to respond to any command.

Ask yourself if this task or request is really important. Do you need to attend every meeting, attend each training, and answer every email.

You will find that the best employees often do very little, but they will focus on the most important tasks.

You have to learn to distinguish between what ordinary employees do and what companies really want you to do.

Workplace truth six: putting career development on your boss is like keeping your kids running around in busy streets.

I admit that I have met very well.

Boss

I really appreciate them, though with a few exceptions, most of them are amiable.

What saddened me is: I believe they repay me with the attitude of "care" because of my love for teams and companies.

So in the early years, I made my boss "manage" my career, which is a big mistake.

Take control of your career path and push it forward.

If your boss gives you an opportunity, it depends on whether it fits your plan, including where you want to be and what you want to do.

If it doesn't match, it will be rejected.

It's up to you to decide where to go next, how long to stay in the team, or even what projects to take.

Master the voice of your career path, because no one will speak for you.

Truth seven: influence is different from result, you have to create influence, otherwise it will become an insignificant role.

Don't mix the consequences with the impact.

You may cause many results, or small or medium or large.

But this is different from the major impact.

The impact is that you hook up with the core interests of the company in a certain way, and the result of your hard work may be anything.

So ask yourself: do you have an influence on the company, the customers, the team, or are you just busy dealing with some uncertain tasks? Are you doing a new company plan that exhausts your energy but has no prospects?

Then, do the right thing and focus on the influence.

Workplace truth eight: no one cares if you quit or leave, or even die, so don't sacrifice yourself for the company.

Sorry to be so alarmist, but I wish someone had been so alarmist to me.

It's a little bit ridiculous to have a sense of urgency in matters of great importance in the company.

It is not necessary for you to make sacrifices for the company.

Yes, some employees are idle.

Most of the rest of you are doing a lot of work. At that time, you will believe that you are very important. What you do is very important to the success of the company.

In fact, that's not the case.

Even if you are vice president or CEO, you are not that important.

In fact, you can be replaced completely.

So why abandon family time, health and happiness for work?

What are you trying to figure out?

Make wise choices and draw your own bottom line.

Ironically, this bottom line will win you respect, and you will find a balance between life and work.

What do you do if you really want to succeed and get promoted and get the salary you deserve?

Do you resonate with these little known workplace secrets?

I hope that when you plan your career prospects, I will help you avoid these wrong mistakes or correct them as soon as possible.

Attention To English Order Writing

If the price and specifications of the goods required by the buyer have changed, the seller will propose a counter-offer and advise the buyer to accept it. However, it should be noted that when writing a letter of refusal to accept an order, it must be very careful and leave room for future possible pactions.
