If a person has no spirit, he will not stand; if he has no spirit, he will not be strong.

The sudden outbreak of new crown pneumonia in 2020 is the most serious epidemic of infectious diseases in the world in the past 100 years. It is also a major public health emergency with the fastest transmission speed, the widest range of infection and the most difficult prevention and control since the founding of new China.

It took more than one month to initially curb the spread of the epidemic. It took about two months to control the daily increase of local cases within a single digit. It took about three months to achieve decisive results in the defense war in Wuhan and Hubei, and then successively fought several local concentrated epidemic annihilation wars, which won major strategic achievements in the national anti epidemic struggle, During this period, Guangdong medical team made great contributions.

Guangdong medical team has been fighting against difficulties and fighting against viruses. The great anti epidemic spirit is fully reflected in them. "It is not like having no clothes and sharing the same clothes with children". In the figure of fighting new coronavirus, the members of Guangdong medical team have always been firm, which is the interpretation of the anti epidemic spirit.

"Veteran generals and new recruits" rush to Hubei

At the time of the first attack of the new coronavirus, a "letter of request for war" from Guangdong spread on the Internet, and many netizens were moved by it.

Guo yabing, a 57 year old chief physician of infectious diseases department of Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, is one of them.

On January 24, 2020, the Chinese New Year's Eve, Guangdong Province, according to the requirements of the National Health Commission, organized 135 doctors and nurses to form the Guangdong support Hubei epidemic prevention and control medical team (hereinafter referred to as the Guangdong medical team), and rushed to Hubei Province to deal with the new coronavirus infection pneumonia. The first batch of Guangdong medical team's counterpart support hospital was Wuhan Hankou hospital.

On January 27, 60 members of the Hubei medical team selected by the Guangdong Provincial Traditional Chinese medicine medical system carried medical supplies to Wuhan for treatment. On the evening of January 28, Guangdong sent another 147 medical team to Hubei to support the local epidemic rescue work.

Guo yabing is the oldest member of the medical team and the leader of this team to Wuhan. He was a "veteran" who participated in Xiaotangshan's "anti SARS" campaign 17 years ago.

When going to Wuhan, Guo yabing once told the 21st century economic reporter: "with the experience of anti SARS zero infection, we are more relaxed in our mentality. In fact, it is not clear what the actual situation is ahead of this expedition to Wuhan, but we are confident that we can achieve zero infection again." After that, Captain Guo handed over the full score answer sheet with practical action.

17 years ago, Zhang Zhongde of Guangzhou University of traditional Chinese medicine was infected while treating SARS patients, and Ye Xin, a comrade in arms, died. But when Xinguan broke out, he did not hesitate to rush to the front line again. On Chinese New Year's Eve, as the deputy leader of the national expert group for the prevention and control of Chinese medicine epidemic situation, he also boarded the train to Wuhan.

In Wuhan, he led a team to take over the ward with the largest number of critically ill patients, and used Chinese and Western medicine to treat patients in coordination. Under his unremitting promotion, the Chinese medicine treatment plan was written into the national diagnosis and treatment plan, and Chinese medicine entered the main battlefield of fighting new crown pneumonia.

In addition to the necessary items, the first batch of Guangdong medical team members donated all the materials they brought, including the medicine in the love medicine bag brought by the medical staff.

It generally takes more than 50 minutes to put on and take off protective clothing. Liang Cheng, a nurse in the emergency department of Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat sen University, wrote in his diary on January 30, 2020, "every time you go to work, you should wear tight protective clothing, airtight isolation clothing, hat, N95 mask, goggles and face screen, and four layers of rubber gloves. It's very heavy for me, a man, to wear this equipment, but I can still make it

Guangdong medical and health workers have been working hard in the front line of fighting the epidemic. Many medical and nursing staff rushed to the front line of fighting the epidemic situation without even having dinner on New Year's Eve.

There are many young members in the Guangdong medical team. Many of them are facing a large-scale epidemic for the first time. In addition, they need to be familiar with the unfamiliar working environment in a short time and undertake high-intensity work. At that time, it brought unprecedented challenges to the members of the medical team, but they tried their best to overcome the difficulties.

"Now a week has passed, and many people are beginning to adapt," Yang Jian, head of Obstetrics nurse of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhongshan University, wrote in his diary on February 2, 2020

After going to the front line, the medical staff from Guangdong Province quickly put into the front line work, overcome the obstacles of material shortage, and help the medical work in the epidemic area gradually return to normal.

In addition, during the epidemic situation, the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and prevention carried out a series of work including epidemic monitoring, on-the-spot disposal and risk assessment, and completed the first national gene sequencing outside Hubei Province, providing reliable epidemiological evidence for the important conclusion of "human to human transmission". They have successively created 12 "national first" events, and the formed "Guangdong tactics" have been popularized throughout the country.

Win the battle at home

In China, Guangdong was the first to confront the local epidemic of delta variant.

On May 21, 2021, Guangzhou reported a case of new coronal pneumonia caused by delta mutant strain. In addition, Guangdong handled three independent imported epidemics within one month, highlighting the calm ability to cope with the huge pressure of "external defense import".

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission has required emergency departments of hospitals to immediately set up a negative pressure vehicle transfer team, which is on standby 24 hours a day, under closed-loop management, and not participate in the daily diagnosis and treatment activities of the hospital. This means that the team is unlikely to have too many staff and will be on duty in the hospital for a long time. Yin Jianhua, a member doctor of Guangdong Second Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine, was the first to sign up for 24 hours × On duty for 14 days and participate in the emergency epidemic prevention and control tasks in the city at any time. When the unexpected task came and entered BAIHEDONG street in Liwan, a high-risk area, Yin Jianhua took the initiative to sign up with the Department Director. "As a Communist Party member, when it is critical, we should take the lead to rush ahead. I'm ready for it!"

BAIHEDONG street is the forefront of the fight against the variant virus in Guangdong.

Under the leadership of the temporary Party branch, the medical team, in addition to the daily hard work of "sweeping buildings" for nucleic acid sampling and medical delivery, also carried out training on wearing and taking off protective clothing for all staff, strict environmental zoning management, and standardized personnel killing process. Combined with the previous anti epidemic work experience of supporting Wuhan in Hubei Province and customs prevention and control, the medical team constantly summed up the experience and practice in the community front-line work, The first BAIHEDONG anti epidemic personnel protection guidelines with community characteristics - "guidelines for community aid workers in high risk areas of epidemic situation" and "how anti epidemic personnel do their own protection in the community environment" were formed and shared with the front-line anti epidemic personnel in the high-risk area, which were highly recognized and promoted by the epidemic prevention and control headquarters.

At the same time, in view of the current situation of community epidemic prevention, the medical team has formulated 12 prevention and control measures, so that everyone in the "three person group" can correctly wear and take off protective equipment and do all kinds of protection, so as to ensure that the staff in the two communities have zero infection.

Yan Dong, a nurse in the emergency department of the second hospital of traditional Chinese medicine of Guangdong Province, braved the difficulties and dangers, volunteered to join the national medical team of traditional Chinese medicine to fight against the epidemic in Wuhan in the Spring Festival of 2020, and joined the party in the front line of Wuhan.

Yan Dong, who has the experience of aiding Hubei Province to fight the epidemic, saw that the hospital issued the "order of departure" to support Liwan, he did not hesitate to sign up again. "I have experience in fighting the epidemic, so it is my bounden duty as a new Party member to support Liwan.". At the moment of departure, looking at the carriage full of protective materials and daily necessities, listening to the warm-hearted advice of "do a good job of protection and self-protection", it seems to be like returning to the scene of last year's expedition to Wuhan, and my heart is full of confidence in overcoming the epidemic situation.

Lei Haichao, deputy director of the National Health Commission, said that Guangdong's emergency response to the outbreak was the first time for China to deal with the delta variant of the new coronavirus, which accumulated valuable experience for China's effective response and disposal of the delta variant in the future.

In the treatment of this epidemic situation, all relevant cities in Guangdong Province timely optimized and adjusted the prevention and control strategies in real time, constantly enriched and improved the epidemic prevention and control measures, and used new technologies and methods, and introduced new norms and guidelines. The accumulated experience and understanding will provide important reference and reference for the national epidemic prevention and control work.

Among them, Guangdong completed more than 200 million nucleic acid screening in one month, and more than 18 million nucleic acid tests were conducted on June 22, setting two national records; It is stipulated that only those who hold nucleic acid negative results within 48 hours can travel, which establishes a new control standard for the prevention and control of epidemic risk spillover.
