On June 25-26, a delegation led by Li Lingshen, Vice President of the China Textile Industry Federation, Li Guimei, President of the China Industrial Textile Industry Association, and Ji Jianbing, Vice President of the China Industrial Textile Industry Association, visited Korla and Urumqi in Xinjiang to investigate key enterprises in the industrial textile industry and understand their production and operation.

On the 25th, the research team came to Xinjiang Zhongtai Henghui Medical Sanitation Materials Co., Ltd. located in Korla, visited the company's No. 1 and No. 2 production workshops and finished product exhibition areas, and held a discussion with Feng Wenjun, the general manager of Xinjiang Zhongtai Textile and Clothing Group, You Wenbing, the director of Zhongtai Henghui, and other enterprise leaders.

Feng Wenjun introduced the development of the whole textile industry chain between China and Thailand. At the raw material end, Zhongtai has laid out cotton, viscose, polyester staple fiber and spinning industries. At present, the company has three viscose production bases in Xinjiang, with a capacity of more than 800000 tons. The annual output of 250000 tons of polyester staple fiber project of Zhongtai Petrochemical has been put into production in April this year; On the production end, Zhongtai has a production capacity of 140000 tons of spunlaced nonwovens, and also has a number of garment processing enterprises in Xinjiang.

You Wenbing introduced the development history and current production and operation situation of Zhongtai Henghui. He said that Zhongtai Henghui would continue to increase R&D investment and continuously improve product quality to meet the diversified needs of the market. He hoped to strengthen cooperation with industry associations, universities and research institutes to jointly promote technological progress and industrial upgrading of the industry.

At the symposium, the two sides also had in-depth exchanges on technical innovation, green development, market promotion, and challenges faced by the spunlaced nonwoven industry.

On the 26th, the research team went to Xinjiang Tuojang Nonwovens Co., Ltd. located in Midong District of Urumqi. Zheng Haigang, the chairman of the company, introduced the development of the company and the construction of Xinjiang Tuojang Nonwovens Co., Ltd. Tuojang nonwoven is headquartered in Shandong, mainly producing various high-performance nonwoven geotextiles, and has four production bases in Shandong, Sichuan and Xinjiang. Zheng Haigang said that Xinjiang Tuojang is still in the construction stage. After all the projects are completed, the capacity of 30000 tons of geotechnical materials will be formed. The investment and construction of factories in Xinjiang will result in low energy costs. The products will be sold in Xinjiang and surrounding areas, saving a lot of logistics costs. Therefore, the project has strong competitiveness. The research team fully affirmed the development achievements of Tuojang nonwovens in recent years, especially the layout of production bases in key areas, which reduced production and logistics costs, improved market reaction speed, and fully expanded the regional market, which has certain reference significance for the high-quality development of the industry under the current situation.

During their stay in Xinjiang, the research team also participated in a series of activities for the docking of textile and clothing industry, and the 2024 annual meeting of the spunbonded nonwovens branch of the Middle class Association.

After the survey, Li Lingshen said that Xinjiang had better policies, elements and market conditions for developing industrial textiles; The production process of industrial textiles is short, and the demand for dyeing is small. Combined with the huge personal consumption and engineering market in Xinjiang and surrounding areas, it can form a closed-loop from raw materials to consumer applications; It is suggested that Xinjiang should include industrial textiles into the overall planning of the textile and clothing industry, focus on the cluster development of the core links of the industrial chain, and attach importance to the promotion and application of industrial textiles in Xinjiang.

Li Guimei said that Xinjiang's industrial textiles have achieved a breakthrough of "zero". They have considerable scale and characteristics in terms of spunlaced nonwovens and geotextiles, showing a good momentum of development. It is suggested that Xinjiang give full play to its energy cost advantages and the huge potential market advantages of Xinjiang and its surrounding regions to develop the medical and health textile industry for personal consumption, Develop agricultural textiles, geotextiles for construction, filtration, personal protection and packaging for industrial, agricultural and engineering applications, and make contributions to the construction of a modern textile industry system with Xinjiang characteristics and the economic and social development of Xinjiang.
