The "top stream" of Wuhan Fashion Week in 2024 met, and the dazzling stars lit up the night sky in Jianghan. The opening ceremony of "Boundless Light and Shadow · Mao Geping's Cosmetic Arts Show" was designed by the famous makeup artist Mao Geping.
On the stage of holographic stereoscopic projection, a golden dragon hovers and rises, and 24 sets of color makeup shapes slowly appear on the catwalk in the flowing light. They are selected from the new products of the Palace Museum Cultural Creation × Mao Geping's beauty makeup "Qiyun Dongfang" series. They capture inspiration from classic buildings, collections, patterns, clothing, and traditional crafts, and show the great American style that has accumulated thousands of years.

In the chapter of "Crossing the Earth", the designer uses loess, green land, plants and flowers as the background color. The natural texture of mountains and rivers and the symbol of human civilization are attached to the fabric. The cross of the pattern division line symbolizes the inseparable relationship between nature and human development. A large number of handmade three-dimensional flowers, butterflies, and birds are inlaid in it, making the model seem like a moving aesthetic scene.
The sun is orange, the Milky Way is blue and purple, the stars are bright and white, and the universe is dark. Zhang Zhaoda releases people's desire to go out of the Milky Way in multiple groups of clothing "crossing the Milky Way". The flowing and three-dimensional lace folds, combined with elegant and flexible streamers and filaments, present the imagination of the stars dancing in the sky. The old denim is spliced and overlapped, and the design of a large number of holes and tassels is integrated to express the tearing sense of space and time. Then, the white yarn with black rendering is matched with the decoration of black and white feathers to show the darkness and brightness when crossing the space and time tunnel in imagination.
